Environmental Impact Review

Environmental impact review governs how government agencies evaluate and disclose the environmental consequences and recommended mitigation for any proposed actions supported by federal actions and federal funding.
Impact reviews often define the scope and timing of environmental disputes. They are anchored in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) laws, and parallel state laws. Environmental law may concern itself with litigation over the adequacy of review, project alternatives, cumulative impacts, climate analysis, and similar topics.
