For over 30 years, owner and principal Mr. Van Oot led the Environmental Law practice at one of Northern New England’s largest law firms. Practicing in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, Mr. Van Oot has been consistently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America©, has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America© as “Lawyer of the Year”, and is rated AV Preeminent®, the highest peer rating standard, by Martindale-Hubbell®, as an environmental lawyer.
Over tbe course of his career, Mr. Van Oot has provided counsel on a wide array of environmental law, including hazardous and toxic waste, regulatory compliance, Brownfields redevelopment, complex project permitting, commercial transactions, due diligence, land conservation, and other non-litigation environmental law matters.
While Mr. Van Oot continues to practice general, non-litigation environmental law, he now focuses by preference on Brownfields redevelopment and land conservation.
