Superfund

Superfund is the common name for the U.S. federal program and trust fund created by the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). It is the U.S. EPA's program to identify and clean up contaminated sites and return them to productive use.
This area of law concerns itself with legal strategies surrounding Superfund cleanup, liability, allocation, damage to natural resources, brownfields, emerging contaminants, RCRA corrective action, and other related topics.
A sign from the EPA that says this is a superfund site.
