I am Of Counsel to Bond, Schoeneck & King where I chaired the Environmental and Energy Practice Group. I am a Co-Chair of the Global Climate Change Committee of the Environmental & Energy Law Section of the New York State Bar Assoc. working on legal issues connected to climate change and the education of lawyers on how climate issues may affect the practice of law. On Jan. 15, I presented an update at the Bar’s 2026 Annual Meeting on “The Offshore Wind Legal Clash.” On March 24, 2026, I spoke at the Central New York Air & Waste Management’s Technical Conference on the “2021 Green Amendment to New York’s Constitution: How It’s Interpreted and Applied.” I was program co-chair and moderator of a webinar sponsored by NYSBA’s Environmental Law Section in January 2024: What Municipalities Need to Know to Apply to USEPA’s $4.6 Billion Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Program. The webinar included speakers from USEPA Region 2, NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation’s Climate Change Office, and the Region 2 technical assistance center, WE ACT. Through my fellowship in the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL), I was program co-chair in June 2024 of a webinar sponsored by the Environmental Law Institute and ACOEL for federally recognized tribes: EPA’s Community Change Grant Program – What Tribes and Community Organizations Need to Know to Apply. Speakers included staff from EPA Region 7 and Endyna, Inc. – a contractor to EPA that is coordinating technical assistance for tribes. I was a presenter at the CNY AWMA Technical Conferences in March 2020 and 2022 on the topics: “New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act: Goals, Implementation Timeline, and Industry Impacts” and “The Climate Action Council’s Draft Scoping Plan: Strategies to Decarbonize New York’s Economy.” As a Bond member, I advised clients on state and federal regulatory compliance issues, particularly in the areas of air and water pollution control and solid and hazardous waste management. I advised owners and operators of solid waste management facilities, many of which include landfill gas-to-energy plants, on a variety of air quality and solid waste compliance matters, particularly in the context of facility siting and expansions.
