I concentrate my practice in the area of Environmental Law and Litigation, Climate Change Law and Policy, Sustainability and Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and have concentrated my practice in environmental law and litigation beginning with the first joint degree at Yale Law School and Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and continuing for over thirty years of practice and six years teaching at Penn State. I am recognized as a leading lawyer in the fields of Climate Change and Environmental Law by Chambers USA America's Leading Lawyers for Business, by The Best Lawyers in America in environmental law and litigation and as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. In 2010 I received the Pennsylvania Bar Association Environment and Energy Law Section's 2010 Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession for my extensive academic and professional work and scholarship in the field of environmental law, climate change and sustainable development. I live and work from the farm where I grew up in Kennett Square Pennsylvania, next to Longwood Gardens. I am divorced with three children and four grandchildren. I am an avid swimmer and enjoy hiking and a variety of outdoor activities.
