Michael G. Romey is a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP. He is the former Global Chair of the firm's Environmental Litigation Practice and a member of the firm’s Environment, Land & Resources Department. Mike has a broad range of environmental litigation experience. He has represented clients in toxic tort, "Superfund," cost recovery, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Proposition 65, climate change, and insurance coverage litigations. Mike has developed significant experience in numerous areas of environmental compliance, enforcement, and regulation. He represents clients before federal, state, and local environmental agencies. He also counsels clients on the regulatory and liability risks associated with climate change and the legal reactions to it. Since 1999, Mike has been an adjunct professor of environmental law at the University of Southern California School of Law where he teaches the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, RCRA, the Endangered Species Act, Risk Assessment, and Climate Change
