I am the former chief of U.S. DOJ's Environmental Enforcement Section, the largest litigating component of the Department's Environment & Natural Resources Division. The Section enforces the federal pollution control and environmental clean-up laws. My other interests include economics, U.S. history, and the building trades.

Played central roles in a variety of federal environmental enforcement matters, including Clean Air Act enforcement against coal-fired plants, Clean Water Act enforcememt against wastewater treatment plants, and enforcement against those responsible for the Deepwater Horizon - BP explosion-and-oil-spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
