I am a partner and Chair of the Environmental Practice Group at Greenberg Glusker LLP. My practice focuses on environmental law, with an emphasis on federal and state Superfund and contaminated sites, brownfield development, CERCLA cost recovery actions, citizen suit defense, administrative and enforcement matters before federal and state regulatory agencies, water quality, indoor air quality (e.g., vapor intrusion), and regulatory compliance. I am listed in Chambers USA for Environment - California and in Best Lawyers for Environmental Law and Environmental Litigation. I regularly represent clients in matters involving investigation, remedial or corrective action requirements at contaminated sites, including enforcement actions and interactions with regulatory agencies. A particular focus of my practice is facilitating commercial development at brownfield sites. I have had significant involvement at many federal and state Superfund, RCRA and CERCLA sediment cleanup sites. Our team routinely advised clients on compliance with federal and state environmental laws, including hazardous materials, water quality and storm water permit requirements. I have litigated dozens of complex environmental cases over the past 20 years, including numerous CERCLA cost recovery actions, as well as property damage, toxic tort and citizen suits. My team has recently resolved several Clean Water Act citizen suit prior to the filing of suit. I was the 2014-15 Chair of the LACBA Environmental Law Section, and currently serve on the Executive Committee of the CLA (formerly State Bar) Environmental Law Section. I am Co-Chair of the annual Yosemite Environmental Law Conference in 2018, and a founding member of DTSCs Brownfield Revitalization Advisory Group.
