Karen Aldridge Crawford practices law from her own firm in Columbia South Carolina. Karen was a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Columbia, S.C. and Washington, D.C. offices, where, for 33 years, she has practiced in all areas of environmental law and litigation (yes, even TSCA and FIFRA), toxic torts, mass tort, workplace safety, product labeling, and other regulatory and administrative law. In 1997, the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice recognized her as a Qualified Environmental Professional, a distinction awarded after over 15 years of experience and examination on a technical environmental project. She has been named in Chambers USAs Americas Leading Lawyers for Business (2014-2020), SC Super Lawyers for years, Best Lawyers in America for many years and was named Best Lawyers' 2012 Columbia, S.C., Litigation Environmental Lawyer of the Year. Karen was named to Whos Who Legal - Environment for the past several years and was inducted into American College of Environmental Law (ACOEL), in the first invited class. She has been an active member of the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation (SOL), SEER and Law Practice Management for over 30 years, and in Leadership for many of those years, more recently serving as Co-Chair of SOL's Environmental and Energy Litigation Committee and currently serving as Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee.
