Stacey currently serves in the Biden Administration as Deputy Assistant Administrator at EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. In that role, she helps serve OECA's mission to improve the environment and protect public health by ensuring compliance with the nations environmental laws. She also helps implement President Biden's policy goals that include, among other things, addressing climate change and environmental justice. She joined EPA with over 25 years of experience in criminal and civil environmental enforcement with the U.S. Department of Justice, the State of California, Earthjustice, and in private practice. Before her appointment, Stacey was a Vice President of Litigation at Earthjustice, where she helped lead the organizations litigation and legal advocacy focused primarily on addressing threats to our health, climate, and biodiversity. Stacey also has over 15 years experience prosecuting environmental and regulatory violations as both a federal and state prosecutor, including criminal and civil prosecutions of Fortune 500 companies and other pollution and wildlife cases. Before her appointment, Stacey also taught at U.C. Hastings College of the Law.
